Claudio Piccinini once referred to this typeface as "Sprayhair", which I actually prefer to the real name. It is a revival of Steinweiss Scrawl, designed in the mid-1950s by Alex Steinweiss, best known for his handlettered record covers. I drew this during the summer of 1993, when I didn't yet understand how to draw curves. I have no idea what's going on with the baseline, either. I added a couple of weights, filled out the character sets, and added a set of ornaments. This typeface (especially the ornaments) is the gayest thing I've ever seen.
